Other things to say

I hadn't had the time to update my blog before. But I do now. So here are a few stuff that happened that I haven't mentioned:

THE PARK
Jerry started going for runs a few weeks ago (might have been a month ago, I'm not sure). There are times that I go with him but I just go for walks. It's usually an hour. He's been doing that for at least once a week. He's trying to get fit. There's this path by the creek and thats where he goes for runs. There was a time that I went with him, brought some old bread and fed the ducks. Then we saw some eels trying to get in on it. I enjoyed feeding the eels more than the ducks because I don't like feathers that much. They're too soft. Anyway, below are some pictures that we took.

I was told that next time, Tim and Tammy are going with him (or us. I don't know if I'm going yet)

DRUMS
Jerry is trying to teach me how to play drums. I tried.. more practice is needed.. Ohwell, I'll be trying that again. I just need to get the hang of it and appreciate it more.

CHRIS'S AND KIMBO'S
Every week, one day is set aside for Jerry's family to get together. This incudes Chris (Jerry's dad), Kimbo (Jerry's step mom), Melanine (Jerry's sister) Tim (Jerry's brother), Tammy (Tim's girlfriend), Alex (Jerry's half brother), and of course, Jerry and me. It's on Sunday. The last Sunday that we had "family night" was two Sundays ago. It wasn't really at night. It was at noon. Chris just got his dart board from the ekka and Tim and Tammy brought their own darts. I can't really play but what the heck, it was just for fun anyway.

EKKA
For those people who doesn't know what it is, click here. Jerry and I went to the ekka last week. There were animals and rides and games. We played a few games, won little prizes, had a few hotdogs, went on a few rides. Below is a picture.
That picture was taken while we're on a ferris wheel. That was the only ride that Jerry wanted to go on apart from the cable ride. We shared our cage with this other couple and this other girl was scared shitless. IT WAS A FERRIS WHEEL!

GOOGLE
I just downloaded "Google talk". Its a google messenger. They just released it. They're still updating it, obviously. So just keep an eye out for updates. You can download the messenger here if you want. It's free. Use your GMail account to log in. If you don't have one, email me and I'll send you an invitation (This offer is only for poeple I know).
Oh, another thing about google is "Google earth". You can download it here. It's free. Google earth isn't that new but still quite new. Its a sattelite that zooms in to earth and its quite amazing how detailed it can get. Try searching for your house. Below is a picture of what it looks like.

Hello, Mr. Romantic. My name is Lyn

Yesterday (August 23, 2005), I went to the city to get a few accessories for our costumes then I went home. The plan was: grocery shopping must be done on that day. Jerry is going to drop me off at Lutwyche then pick up Kimbo (his step mom) from uni (she's taking flower arrangment classes. I dont know what its called.) then come back for me then get petrol. To my knowledge, thats what happened.

When we get home, he forgot to get petrol so I had to go do it myself. When I came home a few minutes later, I walked in on a candle-lit room. Candles everywhere, huge flowers, romantic music playing in the background and he's making dinner. There wasn't any occassion whatsoever.

I wanted to know how and why he did it. Here's how he did it: He dropped me off at lutwyche and then he came home and kimbo came over with the flowers and candles and helped him with the arrangements. Thats why she asked me the other day what my favorite flowers are. Apparently, he's been planning this since last week and people knew about it except for me. As to what possessed him to do it remains a mystery to me.

After our dinner, we played UNO. Thats what we usually play when we got nothing else to do, but we haven't played in a while. Then we watched Frasier. He bought the DVD a while ago and I've been wanting to watch it ever since he got it and last night, we finally did. Frasier is one of my favorite shows.

Let me tell you a little bit about Jerry:
- He doesn't litter
- He gets embarrass really easily
- He blushes
- He knows good music
- He's a hopeless romantic (flowers-sunset-cuddles-teddy bears-moments-chocolates-ice creams-love conquers all belief)
- He's a good drummer
- He smells good with nothing on (cologne, I mean)
- He looks good in red
- He talks about the future
- He doesn't have a commitment phobia
- He protects me from the mosh

I'm just not use to it. I lived two decades of my life with nothing like that. So, hello there Mr. Romantic. Its nice to meet you.

NIN - with teeth tour 2005 (August 22, 2005)

NEEDLE IN A MOSH PITT
Yes, I know I'm a big person but I felt so tiny last night when we went to see Nine Inch Nails. To some people the mosh isn't that rough but damn, huge people all around me and I couldn't see a damn thing! Cameras are not allowed in so its not like I have anything to look at when I get home. Trent looked so different now. He's BUFFED and his hair is really short. I didn't recognize him. I was confused. I thought maybe they changed the vocalist? But no, it sounded like Trent. I could hardly see anything especially from where I was standing. Even though we're at the floor area and close to the stage (but we had to move back because of the mosh), like I've said, huge people all around me. It sucks being short.. Anyway, my other senses are still working. So I listened and felt Trent.

NIN AFTER PARTY
There were two after parties: at HMB and Faith. There was an official NIN after party and The Follow (they opened for NIN) is going to play at HMB. Anyway, we didn't go to either of them. We just went home.

LINE UP
Here are a few songs that they did:
- March of the pigs
- The wretched
- Love is not enough
- With teeth
- Starfuckers
- You know what you are
- Only
- Closer
