Events

Three great events are about to happen in Australia.

First of all, Alice Cooper is going to be performing at the Brisbane Convention Centre on June 28, 2005!

I've already got my ticket for that one. That would be a good way to celebrate the end of the term (uni) since my last day of exam would be on June 17, 2005. I don't mind waiting 11 days before celebrating. Just the other day, I saw a guy who looked like Alice Cooper. Wouldn't it be great if it really was Alice?

Secondly, Nine Inch Nails is touring too! Guess which country is included! Guess which CITY is included!

They've released a new album called WITH TEETH. I just bought one this morning on my way to uni. Good thing I have my discman with me. That gave me a chance to listen to it right away and it was awesome.

That's the album cover. NIN is performing on August 22, 2005 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Bought the tickets. They're on their way.

Last but most defenitely NOT the least, Motley Crue is... well, if you don't know then you're just fuckin stupid.

They're performing at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on December 4, 2005. Its a reunion tour. Motorhead is supporting. I'm not really that familiar with their (Motorhead) stuff. Jerry is a fan of Motorhead and for him, seeing just Motorhead would be worth it. As for me, I'm more excited about being there for Motley Crue.

Got the tickets! They were even being promoted at uni. Nothing big though. Just flyers. But promotion is promotion.

They've released a new 2-disc compilation album (plus three new songs, I believe) called "Red, White, & Crue".

Thats the album.

So there you go. Three great events that Jerry and I are most defenitely going to be a part of. How's that for a rockin year!

State of Origin (May 25, 2005)

Ok, so Jerry is a footy guy and he's been bringing me to footy games. So far, I've only missed one. He has 2 season tickets. Last Wednesday (May 25, 2005) was the State of Origin. Tickets were sold out. So instead, he had a State of Origin party and summoned all his footy and non-footy friends to watch the game. Me, not being one of the "footy people", just sat there, tried to watch the game and watch them yell at the tv. Funny, that was.

Hail Storm (May 20, 2005)

There was a huge hail storm 2 weeks ago. There was no forecast about a storm beforehand. We had an electrical emergency since water was leaking from the roof and through the lightbulb itself. The switch is off but the bulb was a bit lit somehow. Jerry took care of everything. There were phonecalls made and received all night. The next day, the electrician came and fixed... I don't know what.. but all's good now.

Bootsie is back (May 6, 2005)

Bootsie went missing for at least a month. Jerry and I searched for him, put up flyers and notices and planned on doing a letter box drop. Before we get a chance to do that, Jerry got a call from some guy saying that a cat has been hanging around the Thistle Club. Its just down the road. We went there right away and picked up Bootsie.

From that day on, all the doors are locked and all the windows are shut. Its such a bother having to bring my keys all the time even if I'm just going downstairs. But he's under house arrest and its going to remain that way for a while.
